Hundreds of people have enjoyed Dilli’s informal, hands-on, value-for-money cookery classes.

Dilli is launching its own independent new cookery classes – based on what you have told us you would like to learn.

For newcomers, it’s way to discover some of the secrets of India’s fascinating and unique way of combining ingredients and flavours. And for people who have already attended an initial basic course, each class of our new ones will be an opportunity to learn more advanced dishes.

Three Hour Vegetarian Indian Cooking Class £85
Good chefs strive for dishes that inspire, tantalise, and meet reviews that are beyond bay leaf. Add some spice to your routine with facebook deal from Dilli.

Three Hour Meaty Indian Cooking Class £100
This special cookery class showcases one of the most famous Indian dishes, Chicken Tikka. You will learn how to perfectly cook Chicken Tikka Lababdar, better known as Chicken Tikka Butter Masala, Aloo Chana (potato and chickpeas) and Kennels cooked with Mushrooms (Makai and Mushroom Masala). Class times are 2.5 - 3 hours dependant on class size.

Dilli chefs learn the secrets of Indian cooking in the same way as any child … from their parents. Their formal training and direct experience, in restaurant and hotel kitchens, then sharpen their skills to the level that Dilli expects.

Our cookery classes offer you the opportunity to start a similar journey as they share their insight and experience of the many regional styles of Indian cuisine.

These classes teach how to mix authentic ingredients and spices to make great tasting Indian food. You’ll have fun at the same time - and get to eat the food you make or take it home with you.

Dilli’s great value-for-money cookery classes can be tailored for home cooks, as a novel corporate event for rewarding staff, an alternative team-building exercise or for impressing clients.

“Thank you so much for a fascinating and informative cookery class. It was an eye opener to see original Indian cuisine being explained to me in such a clear and helpful way.
The food which my wife and I shared when we got home was absolutely delicious. My wife said it was the best Indian food she had tasted. This was no thanks to my culinary efforts but was all down to your coaching and quality of produce and your recipe. I enjoyed the course so much I would like to come again. We shall definitely call to your restaurant for meals in the future and tell all our friends about the wonderful experience I had in your class and the high quality of the food.”
Steve Wade

“My daughter and myself really enjoyed your vegetarian cookery class. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and we just could not fault it - so worth the journey. I shall be inviting other family members and friends to an authentic Indian meal, cooked as taught by yourself, with explanations as to why 'Curry Houses' will not be our choice of Indian food in the future. Many thanks once again for a wonderful and unique experience.”
Sue Boyle, Shropshire

"Thanks very much for your excellent and inspiring Vegetarian Cookery Course yesterday which we both thoroughly enjoyed. It was great for us to learn how to successfully cook authentic Indian food.  Last night we had a delicious meal using the dishes cooked during your course. We have frozen some of the dishes for another treat in the future.  We will now be trying out our new skills and knowledge to cook more delicious Indian food at home for our friends and ourselves."

“The class was excellent and my family loved the food.”
Pete Pickard

"… a brilliant day … you are a great teacher … lots of useful and interesting information."

"… your relaxed but professional manner … has definitely inspired me to get into the kitchen and cook … I have arranged a family meal when I will be putting your training and recipes into practice. I couldn't fault the day in any way. Brilliant."
Tony Crompton

"I picked up so many useful tips - freezing coriander, using fenugreek (the only spice I'd been scared of!), working the onion and oil to achieve the thickening and so on - just fab. I came home buzzing."

"It was a most enjoyable experience and I learned so much from your first class chef. I would recommend this course to everyone."
Lynda Henshaw

"I have been a fan of Indian food for very many years, but your helpful explanations, patience, good humour and skilful instruction brought an entirely new dimension. Quite apart from providing the ability to cook curry dishes without the need for shop bought sauces, the cooking class was great fun and the food, unsurprisingly, delicious."
William Hughes

“I was delighted to attend your cooking course last night, and whilst I thought I knew what I was doing, it was soon abundantly clear that I didn’t! Although I  feel I have a good basic knowledge of ingredients and how to put them together, the subtle way you showed us how to do things and the resulting finished products were far beyond my expectations. It was also helpful and interesting to learn the different uses of various herbs and spices and to learn a few “tricks of the trade”. If you ever hold a different course I would be delighted to attend and I would highly recommend the evening for anyone who enjoys cooking and proper Indian cuisine. Thank you so much for an enjoyable, informative and entertaining evening, it was just a shame that the 3 ½ hours went by so quickly.
